If you have a chance write us your thougts. We have the original owners manual etc. We bought it from a couple in there 70's they purchased a new RV different brand, and said they were sorry as the quality of craftmanshiop was not there. Comments:Found your site during a search for Revcon Information some time ago, and now after a decade and a half of looking I just purchased a 1973 R250 from an old couple that has been sitting since 1996. I've spent two days dumping and changing all fluids and air bubbling fuel tanks back from the fuel line. Pulled the carb and did a clean, primed the oil pump and replaced the distributor, she fired right up but has a tappet sticking and making a loud noise, I’ll try running the engine a few more times to see if it will loosen up. There is an exhaust manifold leak on the driver’s side and I don’t know for sure right now if it’s a leak or crack. The old thing seems to be in pretty good shape however it will need work, I think I’m up for the tasks that lay ahead, but I might need the help, advice and encouragement of others. Ken Gardner. Boise, Idaho.

Comments:Just bought (stole) mine for $400. Not a misprint. It had a right rear blowout and caused a small fire that warped some of the exterior aluminum around the wheel area. All systems function including the built in vacume cleaner. It is missing the fridge. The Onan runs great. I am having a problem finding the correct tires. Mine has the single bed/bunk combo with vanity. It is not nice by any means, but is a very solid coach that I want to restore. Any help you could offer on finding tires with correct load rating would be great.

Comments:I'm going to look at a 1974 Revcon 250-D tomorrow that needs restoration. I'd like to drive it home, a distance of 70 miles or so. What would be the most important things you would want to ensure before you tried to drive it that far, beyond tire pressure and brakes. The seller assures me that the engine is running smoothly. He also told me that he was not sure if the automatic transmission fluid was at the correct level(?) Is there anything you can tell me about that? I have restored a couple of sports cars in the past, ( a Porsche 911 Turbo and a Fiat Spyder 2000) and a few motorcycles and have been looking at neglected Revcons for awhile as possible winter projects. btw: I'm a licensed master electrician too (got my journeyman's license in 1978, my masters in 1983). I specialized in digital industrial motor control.

Comments:HI, You have a nice clean coach there. I own a 28' slant nose but the more I see of the flat nose I have to say I like them. I was checking out your fuel injection system. If you don't mind my asking, what did this conversion cost you, and did you do it yourself? I'm getting 9-11 mpg right now (I know I have been accused of exagerateing already but I have checked and double checked)and extra 2 mpg would be nice but I'm not sure the cost would justify the effort. Comments:We own a Revcon; double axle the same color as the 260 model pictured in your site. I believe it is a 1977, however I was reclassed by DMV as a 1976. It looks like the 290 because of it's length & top storage compartments. My questions are, I need to find a good source for parts, such as running lights/clear light- mine have disintegrated. We have found a parts supplier Marty Moore's in San Diego- He has done work on the motor home 5 years ago, when 2 shock absorbers were installed for the suspension. I have been in contact with Marty Moore this week, Marty is in his 70's and appears to have forgotten our conversation from the day before, so we are hoping you have a different source for recomendation. HOpe to hear from you soon. Thank you, James

Comments:Unable to print any of your pictures. I have a 73 250 in California(At son's shop in Redwood City. He spent over 6k and it still does not run(or stay running). I was thinking of bringing it back to Arizona and get it running properly . Your website has got me interested in it again. It was in pretty good condition except for front windows being yellowed at bottom. If I could have it transported here without costing too much I might just do it. Thanks

Know anyone who might be interested. We just finished a three month trip in it to Florida, the Carolinas and back over the winter.

Comments:Tom: Thank you for your website. 10 days ago, I bought my '83/31' Prince from the gentleman who bought it new as a 60th birthday present, and am even more happy with my purchase after seeing yours and Dave's home pages. (Dave has the same year/make as mine.) When I was talking to some of the motorheads here at work, they disuaded me from an EFI retrofit. Having seen your retrofit success, I am planning on doing the conversion when I park it for the winter. (Doing some math, comparing 7 v. 9 mpg, it will take 17,500 miles at $2.50/gallon for it to pay for itself!) Clearly, the advantages are in altitude, cold starts, and power. Questions: How hard is it to tune your engine with the EFI? Marty in San Diego suggests running premium fuel: 1) it increases your mileage equal to the cost of fuel (premium costs ~ 10% more than regular and would only require a 10% increase in mileage to pay for itself) 2) the engine runs cooler by burning less fuel for the same power. Any thoughts on
